EMS of LeFlore County has several paramedics trained to provide ALS support to local and regional response teams. Paramedics are trained in care under fire, long and short term operations as well as multiple firearms and less than lethal

Haz-Mat Medics are certified to the Hazardous Materials-Technician Level. Haz-medics provide care to patients exposed to unknown and hazardous materials as well as provide support to haz-mat teams during operational periods.

LeFlore County is known for beautiful scenic views and mountain gateways. LeFlore County EMS is developing a high angle rescue team for situations that require extricating patients from deep, high or steep terrains.

With underground coal mines, caves, power plants and lift stations, EMS of LeFlore County must be prepared to enter confined spaces. Members of the high angle team will also be trained in confined space tactics and procedures.
